Börje Brelid often begins a tale with, “I’ve gotta te ll you...” Bo rn in Västergötland, Sweden, the son of a butcher, Börje has been entertaining people for over seven decades. With “old country” humor reminiscent of Olof i Skratthult, he has generated laughter that “reverberates around the world.” He is a performer who interacts with his audience creating an intimate atmosphere and joviality through his many unique characters and personalities. In this documentary he shares his talent and joy of living, but also reveals his struggles against depression that made the effort of opening his eyes in the morning nearly insurmountable. In his darkest days it was the laughter from the audience that gave him the strength and the will to live.
