LaVonne Quinth
Sound technician, Production Assistant, Web Designer, Production Manager, Computer technician, Translator, Designer, Executive Producer. The titles have been many and varied. Born and raised in California, I moved to Sweden in 1983. I began traveling with Stefan, working at first as a gofer and later as the sound technician. In between trips I worked as a community nurse in Sweden. As time went on I became more and more involved in the company until I eventually gave up nursing entirely and began working full time at camera Q. Today I am the Executive Producer, the puppeteer, the spider in the net (being arachnophobic, I prefer puppeteer.) I am the one who holds all the strings. I am involved in productions from conception to reality, budgeting, researching, editing, and marketing. I am responsible for the economy and bookkeeping, all the computers and the web site. I do all the graphic designing for the films, the DVDs, covers, press kits, books, advertisements, just about anything that is printed on paper.
I am fluent in both English and Swedish have translated all our film manuscripts. I have also translated documents for World Wildlife Foundation, and Universeum, as well as several books.
When the DVD replaced the VHS I got into DVD authoring, creating menus, slideshows and other bonus material. I also design the covers and the DVD print.
We have recently published several books that I have been involved in the authorship as well as responsible for the layout.
Of all my many titles, the ones I value the most are "Wife" and "Mother." Stefan and I have been blessed with five wonderful children. We used to bring them along when we traveled, bringing school books and homework on the road, but now that they are older it is harder to take them out of school so traveling, for everyone but Stefan, is limited to summer vacations.
